Products to and How to control Acne

Acne is irritating! It can be the most common skin issue that is encountered by not only the young teens but also to the mature group- like me...the adults. Especially in Singapore, such a hot and humid country and with so much temptations on good food like hot and spicy laksa or curry puff, it comes much more easier to down with outbreaks.

Anyway, I've found a good tip to share with you on how to calm, maintain or prevent it. Use Fancl Acne Care Series after proper skin cleasing. Starting with Fancl: Lotion AC - Care Essence - Moisture Gel - Oil Control - Oil Control Powder. By going this product series, it helps you to moisture, nourish and control your skin.

Never skip the moisturising step!

Do not have the wrong perception that acne prone or oily skin doesn't need to be moisturized. To be right, acne skins has to moisturised in order to have the skin restored with moisture to reduce excess sebum production. By maintaining it well, it will prevent accumulating of oxidised sebum forming the pimples or acnes.

A lot of times, having intake of supplements helps.

Other tips, always remember to remove your makeup completely and before sleep. Fancl mild cleansing oil is so far my favourite makeup remover as it is never too harsh on the skin and can remove thick or heavy (waterproof) makeup without any hassle or much efforts since it melts them away within spilt seconds.

How to prevent over pluck eyebrow

Are you ever worried that you may overpluck your eyebrow? There is always a tendency for people that not so experience or new to using a eyebrow shaver or brow tweezer that ends up over plucking the eyebrows.

There are two tips to share:
One way is to use an transparent eyebrow template that you can get from local pharmacies. To make it much easier to pluck your eyebrow, you can trace the eyebrow shape from the template with a pencil eyeliner. Try to use light colors like white or silver to help you shape the brow then go ahead to trim or pluck or shave the unnecessary hair away.

Another way is much direct. Use a eyeliner to determine or mark those stray hair that you want to remove then tweeze it away.

See below tips to help you shape your brow.

Latest Makeup and Hairstyle for 2010

I always like keeping my hair short as short hair gave me the confidence and the kind of "manly" character that I need. With short hair it is necessary to wear makeup but you can choose to apply the minimum (or nude makeup). Otherwise, try on light makeup with red sexy painted lips. Remember, to apply either pinky or orangy blusher over your cheek. This is extremely cool! Short hair can give you the character so you need but keep up the hairstyle and maintain it well. Having to trim it in 4-6 weeks is a must!

Personally, i find short hair easy to manage and fashionable. Drying short hair or shampooing takes much more shorter time. If you are able to get the right cut that suits you, you will bound to look much younger, fresher and stylish.

Use some hair styling products like hair wax to style up your hair. Sometimes, a slight or light perm can create a different short hair "LOOK". I like this one from Tavia Yueng.

For 2010, the short bob cut is still very 'in' or if you are more daring try this smart korean cut look.

This smart cut is done in such a way that there are much more movement on the top part of the hair giving a feminie look.

I like this short hair cut from Charmaine Sheh too. Don't you think she look much more stylish and fresh?

How to Live Beauty when you aged? See Living Beauty from Bobbi Brown

I enjoy very much reading the Living Beauty from Bobbi Brown.

The book is informative, sharing Bobbi Brown's experience, thoughts and knowledge of her twenty five years of makeup and beauty experience. There are varies topics from makeup face lifts, makeover tips, food, accessories to creating new ideal look.

One of the topic she wrote is on words of wisdom from women who have come to age beautifully. She surveyed a couple of women whom she admires and some of the words from these different women on their philosophy view of age beauty are real good.

I feel some of the  below comments are very true and it makes me less worry to age, be graceful, confident and full charisma.

Let's see Vera Wang- our famous fashion designer and her views.
Aging: It was written that she has friends in their sixties to seventies whom she consider beautiful because they have maintained their character. They had not tried plastic surgery but she can accept that to fit a certain aesthetic to be beautiful. I feel the same.

Marcia Gay Harden and her view on Aging... She embrace age. Same, she did not go against having minor surgical to look and feel better but it is silly to look twenty when you are forty. Beauty is in both words and actions. Also, part of beauty in your forties is to understand ideas and music of beauties in teens.

Vanessa William (famous singer) and her comments on aging: as long as women are empowered, aging is not a problem and has no limits.

Tips for Rosy Cheek Makeup

Rosy cheek makeup is attractive and easy. It gives that wonderful glow on your skin and creates the healthy look even with minimum makeup on. This work particularly well with simple eye shadow makeup plus the choice of a nude or pink lipstick.

Since we are still in summer time, try putting on an orange (peach) based blusher. This provides the Tann look. I prefer powder blusher rather than using cream type of blusher because powder blusher are easier to control during your applications and it looks much natural and can be blended well much better than the cream based blusher. Always remembered to go for a good blush brush.

In the market, there are 3 color tone range for your choice of blusher: Pink, Orange (Peach) and Brown. Pink suits more to the fairer skin. Personally, I like the peach based since it is more natural, looks "healthier and "cuter" after applied.

One important tips on creating this makeup is to ensure a good foundation over your skin. Pressed or blush face powder over your foundation. Remember to keep your brushes clean at all times. To enhance the blusher and to make it stay longer, you need to apply pearl/ pink/ white powder or the shimmery powder products on your cheekbone all the way under your eye before applying your blusher. This gives the transparent color look over your cheek

The shimmery powder from Face Shop is pretty good. It's the jewel powder. Try this!
